Renewed hope for Asian business

Inspired by the Chick-fil-A story, John and Esther wrote a new core purpose, which is to "use the capability and resources from God to serve our clients and create positive influence to the society."

One year ago, John and Esther, residents of a large city in East Asia, were ready to abandon their business after a failed product launch drove them to the point of hopelessness. During this difficult period, they became believers in Christ.

Through a Lifeshape International partner, a team of Chick-fil-A Operators connected with John and Esther. They sent them vision-building tools and other helpful business resources. A few months later, the team delivered a presentation of the SERVE Model of leadership to the couple and their employees.

John and Esther used these tools to rethink their entire business. Our LSI partner said, “They now have a renewed hope and a desire to build a kingdom-based business.” Inspired by the Chick-fil-A story, John and Esther wrote a new core purpose, which is to “use the capability and resources from God to serve our clients and create positive influence to the society.”

After the LSI team left, John continued with a six-lesson follow-up on the SERVE model with his employees, teaching it alongside the book of Nehemiah. The training led to a small group Bible study, and during the last session, four people prayed to receive Christ.

The influence of John and Esther on their team, their customers, and their community has only just begun. Through Lifeshape International, Chick-fil-A can equip individuals around the world who have a heart to develop kingdom-based businesses.
